He is looked at as one as the most entertaining and greatest professional wrestlers to ever compete in the ring. Nicknamed "The Macho Man", Randy Savage is a legend and remember so well by many old wrestling fans. He was also among the most charismatic superstars of all time. Many men claim to be Macho but there is only one Macho Man and that is Randy Savage himself. From his flashy outfits to his cool shades, to his psychic and well built body to his high-flying moves, he had it all and the fans knew it as well whether they loved him or hated him.
Randy Savage is part of the WWA's Showdown Roster, and on a steady rise in success. He debut as a "face" and it wasn't long until he got his first feud with another superstar, "The Legend Killer" Randy Orton. It started during the tournament to crown the first ever WWA Champion where Savage defeated Orton in the Quarter-Finals after trying to use Savage's own finisher. The Macho Man advanced into the Semi-Finals, facing Chris Benoit. But Orton got involved, costing Savage the match, allowing Benoit to win and advance to the Finals.
On the road to Showdown's first PPV, Revengance, Randy Savage called out Randy Orton and challenged him, at the Ted Reeve Arena in Canada where the event was to take place. Randy Orton accepted the challenge, saying that he would punish Savage once and for all while the Macho Man said that he would give Orton a painful lesson about what it's like to be in the ring with the Master of Madness. This match was dubbed by the fans as "The Battle of Randys".
At Revengeance, the two Randys delivered a pure back and forth war, both getting closer in putting the other away. During the match, Orton got busted open after getting his head ramped into the steel railing and the steel post by Savage. When the match reached it's peek, Randy delivered an RKO as Savage went for a flying clothesline in mid air but instead of pinning he went to use Savage's own finisher, The Diving Elbow but just like last time, Savage countered it and returned the favor by using Orton's own RKO finisher and hit his Diving Elbow to get the win over the "Legend Killer" thus ending the feud between the two.
