Hello, KaneTakerfan701 here and I would like to take this time to do a review of "The Resurrection Of The Masked Kane". Since he's return in December of 2011, Kane has gone though an up and down roller coster, feuding with several superstars that get in his way. However, that's not what I'm here to tell you about.

Now as we all know, we Kane fans are happy to see Kane back with the mask. However, I'm still mesmerized by the resurrected promos that aired last year. When the first one aired on November 21st during Raw, the WWE hyped his return by showing a vignette with the Big Red Machine in a charred warehouse (perhaps his home from where he lives) wearing his 2003 - 2009 attire with a black towel, hiding his face and his black studded glove that he once wore during the "Attitude" era, lighting a match, punching through glass, and dropping the matchstick onto a mask that was one of his old ones, which then caught fire. My reaction was like "What the hell? Is that Kane? Is he coming back?" then when I saw the mask, I then thought "Is the old Kane returning?" The question was, would Kane return to his former self of being a destructive and unstoppable monster, with or without the mask? This would remain a mystery, however the appearance of Kane in the promo led us all to think that he would come back looking like that with the mask, which some of us found very cool. Many Kane fans like me were left speechless and wide eyed.

It got even more wired when another promo was aired on November 28th, which ended with the title "Kane Resurrected". When the title came up, I then began to wonder "This has to be the return of the masked Kane." This began to fuel my excitement and had many thoughts and images of how Kane's return was going to be. But I didn't know when he was going to come back since we know the mysteries surrounding the Big Red Machine.

The following week on December 5th, I saw the third third vignette. It aired Kane looking into the mirror again, clearly sporting and wearing his old mask along with the black towel and looking clearly tormented, then looks more closely into the mirror without the mask, hating his own reflection because it reminded him of what he regrettably had become: human before seeing a flashback of several superstars on fire, which were The Rock, Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk, Sheamus, The Miz, Randy Orton, Mark Henry, The Undertaker, John Cena and Big Show before Kane smashed the mirror into several pieces. It then showed Kane putting on what seemed to be a new mask, which was then followed by the old mask being set on fire again. Unlike the other promos, this one made more sense. The return of the mask looked even more convincing but the burning mask at the end, which fell to the ground, left us Kaneanites once again completely unsure as to exactly what the true meaning of the promo really was. Even I was unsure of this but it remains as my personal favourite Kane Resurrected promo. However, the three promos at that time reminded me of the "Attitude" era when Kane wore the old mask. Also when Kane smashed the mirror, it led me to think that the unmasked era of Kane was over and the returning masked monster that he used to be was going to come back. But like I said before, I was unsure of Kane's remasking since the WWE had screwed us Kaneanites more than once because we've seen Kane with the mask before such as the wired and bizzare feud between Kane and the Impostor Kane (played by Drew Hankinson who wore Kane's old mask and ring attire) in 2006. When Kane recovered his old mask it made me thing that he would return as the masked monster and perhaps the old attire... but that did not happen. The second time Kane had the mask was in 2009 during the feud he had with Rey Mysterio (one of the worst feuds ever) when in one scene he held up his mask to torment Mysterio. Again we Kaneanites believed that the monster was going to remask himself. The following night, Kane was wearing his old mask, briefly, before he removed it and explained why he took his mask off back in 2003, which made us understand one of the reasons it happened in the first place despite we were not happy with the brief wearing of Kane's mask during that time.

We Kaneanites really missed the old Kane when he wore his mask and giving children nightmares since he was, after all, a monster and a freak of nature. On December 12th, as 2011 was during to a close, we watched the Slammy Awards. During the show, we saw what was to be the last promo of Kane's resurrection. It showed that Kane was remasked and was holding the old mask before we saw it fall to the floor again, burning. This led us to be more unsure of Kane's return but during the weeks watching the promos, most of us thought he would return at the 2012 Royal Rumble, which I thought would be a good and fitting return for the Big Red Machine. However, unknown to us, the 2011 Slammy Awards show had a very big surprise for us and we didn't even expect it. When John Cena and Mark Henry battled eachother in the main event a huge explosion erupted, taking us by surprise, and the lights went out. Suddenly a new theme of Kane was playing and we were shocked and screamed with excitement. After a five month absence, through hellfire and brimstone, a newly and monstrous Kane made his return, with hair and wearing a long black glove (similar to his old one), an new attire and metallic mask. He looked more monstrous than ever before and I, like many other fans, where wide eyed when I saw his new look. Kane made his way to the ring, interrupting Mark Henry and John Cena's match. When he entered the ring, the look on Henry's face said it all, he was scared to death and Kane scared him off. Then he turn his attentions to Cena and delivered a chokeslam to him. This must've been a message to Mark Henry and to the WWE that the Big Red Machine was back with a deadly purpose. Then Kane stood over Cena's body and set his ring pyro off. What happened next brought memories and emotional teary eyes to me and I'm sure all the other Kane fans were feeling this way too. Wondering what Kane was gonna do next, he slowly removed the metallic mask and revealed a new red mask, showing us that he had gone back to being his true self, his essences. The new mask looked similar to that of his 2002 - 2003 one. It now shows that it's supposed to be like burnt flash as if Kane had had his face burnt again, which seems to look that way (even though we all know he's not really burnt but in his mind, he is).

The overall of Kane's new look was 100% better than I thought since it reminded me of his 2000 to 2002 style since he's now acting this way and has since become a more powerful, scary and unstoppable Big Red Machine than ever before. I have to say, WWE have given us Kane fans what we wanted, the return of the masked Kane and I, too, am happy and pleased with it because if he had not returned with the mask, I would've not bothered in watching the WWE again but thank god he's back with the mask and picking up where he left off, destroying WWE superstars and leaving a trail of human carnage in his wake. I'm sure Kane himself is pleased to be wearing the mask again cause I think it plays a very special role in his character and perhaps will stay with him to the day he decides to retire.

That's all from me. Hope you've enjoyed this review of "The Resurrection Of The Masked Kane".

Stay safe everyone.
